Eli Roth To Receive PETA Award
On September 25, PETA will hold its 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards celebration in Hollywood. Among the awardees will be The Last Exorcism producer Eli Roth, and we thought that your readers would like to know about the causes that are closest to his heart.
As you may know, Eli stars in a print and TV PETA campaign that urges viewers to always report cruelty to animals—because people who hurt humans often start out as animal abusers. He has also spoken out against keeping marine mammals in captivity and has written to SeaWorld to urge the theme park to release its captive mammals to sanctuaries.
Other awardees include Woody Harrelson, Olivia Munn, and Eva Mendes. The gala will be hosted by previous PETA award winner Alec Baldwin.
