» Sunday May 16, 2010 - 05:29 am Foreclosure Makers Seek Real Foreclosure Horror Stories
The makers of the new horror-thriller FORECLOSURE, starring Michael Imperioli, Wendell Pierce and Bill Raymond, today invited Americans who have experienced true-life foreclosure horror stories to share their personal narratives at the film's website.
The first 50 people to share a 500-word description of their true-life foreclosure horror will receive an official FORECLOSURE tee shirt.
Said FORECLOSURE writer-director Richard Ledes: "We have set our film in a typical American town and on a block in which nearly every house sits vacant and bank-owned. When our film is ready for release, we hope to involve those who have shared their stories in our marketing campaign."
Ledes' screenplay is inspired by the contemporary mortgage crisis but is also infused with a dark sense of distinctly American socio-economic history - a history that may be about to repeat itself.
FORECLOSURE just began shooting in Queens. It is photographed by Frederic Fasano, who has served as cinematographer on recent features by Dario Argento and Asia Argento. The film is produced by Ged Dickersin (CITY ISLAND). The production designer is Brian Rzepka; the costume designer is Kim Wilcox. Editor and co-producer is Lila Yomtoob, and casting director is Billy Hopkins. Josh Braun of Submarine represents domestic rights to the film.
Ledes is an award-winning filmmaker and writer based in New York City. His first feature film, A HOLE IN ONE, starred Michelle Williams and Meat Loaf; his second feature, THE CALLER, with Frank Langella, Elliot Gould and Laura Harring, won the "Made in New York" award at the 2008 TriBeCa Film Festival.
