Horrific Comedy Clowns vs Ninjas Hits DVD
Clowns vs. Ninjas is an epic short film crafted in the spirit of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" featuring music from the Los Angeles based rock band "The Other Side of Morning". In the video a Japanese warlord has grown bored with the usual mayhem and murder. Craving some other form of twisted fun he orders his thugs to organize the ultimate bloody battle, a troop of unsuspecting clowns versus a pair of ninja assassins. Hilarity ensues as heads roll courtesy of a low budget, 1980s style of guts and gore.
This horrific comedy forged into a rip-roaring music video is directed by David Brocca, (winner of the 2007 Independent Spirit Awards short film contest) and highlights the band's most balls-to-the-wall song "You Got It". It stars martial arts expert Alfred Hsing, as one of the ninjas, who's best know for his work on Spike's Deadliest Warrior.
Pitch Films, the production company behind the video worked intensively with the band to produce the dual DVD/EP appropriately titled "Clowns Vs. Ninjas".
The DVD features an extended version of Clowns vs. Ninjas, plus two behind the scenes documentaries. "The Making of Clowns Vs. Ninjas" contains interviews with the director, producer, and the band, focusing on the inspiration and execution of the concept. Also on the disc is "Killing Clowns", an in-depth featurette on the special FX process by Jason Collins of Autonomous FX. Both are sure to satisfy the inner filmmaker and make-up artist in all of us.
The debut EP from "The Other Side of Morning" contains five tracks leading off with the bands latest radio single, Rise and Fall, followed by You Got it, No One Will Find You, Cocoon, and Radiation.

The short film version of Clowns Vs. Ninjas found only on the DVD is slated to play at Dragon Con www.dragoncon.org and other film festivals across the globe beginning this September. The shorter, music video version can be viewed online at www.clownsvsninjas.com
