Horror Film Salvage Hits DVD July 6th

On Christmas Eve the residents of a quiet British cul-de-sac are suddenly plunged into a world of violence, terror, and paranoia when a group of heavily armed military personnel storm their road ordering them to retreat inside their homes at gunpoint.

Unsure if this is the sign of a terrorist attack or something much worse, through panic and paranoia, Beth (Neve McIntosh) finds the courage to fight to save her estranged daughter who is stranded across the street. However, with growing dread and desperation, the residents soon discover that the threat is more monstrous than any of them could possibly imagine, and survival is no longer a guarantee.

Shot in four weeks during February and March of 2008 on location in Liverpool (on the set used for the TV drama Brookside), this horror thriller marks director Lawrence Gough's (Gatecrash), feature film debut, written by Colin O'Donnell (Hollyoaks). Produced by Julie Lau (All Night and All Day), Associate Producer Alan Pattison and executive producers Christopher Moll and Lisa Marie Russo.

A stunning debut from Gough, Salvage features an award-winning cast including Neve McIntosh who won Best Horror Actress at Fantastic Fest 2009 for her work on the film, Salvage is a nail-biting exercise in sheer adrenaline-fuelled fear that will chill you to your very core.

"Salvage is one of the most intelligent films about fear I've ever seen. That it unfolds in a leafy suburb where the local shocks are usually supplied by bitchy neighbors simply makes it that much more alarmingly real. Lawrence Gough and Colin O'Donell ingeniously weave the best elements from a handful of traditional cinema genres to create a film that feels fresh, surprisingly personal, and utterly terrifying." - James Christopher, Chief Film Critic - The Times (London)
