» Wednesday September 22, 2010 - 10:05 pm Human Centipede Stars Join Big Apple Comic Con
Three stars of the biological horror movie HUMAN CENTIPEDE, Ashley C. Williams, Ashlynn Yennie and Akihiro Kitamura, will attend Wizard World Big Apple Comic Con, October 1-3 at Penn Plaza Pavilion in New York.
The film, which earned some notice by getting a rating of zero stars by critic Roger Ebert, has gained a popular following among horror fans.
During a stopover in Germany in the middle of a carefree roadtrip through Europe, two American girls find themselves alone at night when their car breaks down in the woods. Searching for help at a nearby villa, they are wooed into the clutches of a deranged retired surgeon who explains his mad scientific vision to his captives utter horror. They are to be the subjects of his sick lifetime fantasy: to be the first to connect people, one to the next, via their gastric system, and in doing so bring to life "the human centipede."
Truly one-of-a-kind, Tom Six's twisted film confidently goes where few films have dared to go. The sick vision of a demented surgeon, a role portrayed so brilliantly by Dieter Laser it is sure to join Freddy, Jason, and Leatherface in the horror pantheon, is billed as a 100% medically accurate nightmare.
Big Apple Comic Con will mark the first time that Williams, Yennie and Kitamura have appeared together to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photographs.
