IFC Films New Horror DVD Releases May 2010

In a sleepy Southern town aptly named Redemption, a lonely man is searching for his own form of redemption. Hazel Fortune (Yul Vasquez, American Gangster, Che) is a burnt-out, suicidal strip club bouncer trying to atone for a tragic mistake. He caused the death of his daughter, and ever since has been deep in grief and despair. But Hazel sees a glimmer of hope when a new stripper arrives looking for work. Starla (Nicole DuPort, Tooth & Nail) is not like other girls in the club; she simply wants to make enough money to give her daughter, Hope (Emily Catherine Young), a better future. As Starla plies her trade at the club, Hope and Hazel form a special bond, but But when Hope is kidnapped by Enoch Pitt, a ruthless, psychotic preacher on a bloody crusade, Hazel must make the decision to rejoin the living and risk life and limb to save her from a terrible end.
