Saw Director Darren Lynn Bousman Goes on ControlTV
ControlTV is a live-streamed online reality experiment that gives viewers control over a real, 25-year-old guy, Tristan Couvares. The online audience will vote on every major aspect of his life – from the clothes he wears, to what he eats, to who he dates, and where he works. It's a unique, fully interactive experience playing out in real-time. For six weeks, Tristan's fate is truly in the viewers' hands.
Presented by Ford and Sprint, ControlTV is executive produced by Seth Green and a veteran creative team: Richard Saperstein (former president of Dimension Films), Ken Fuchs (The Bachelor & Bachelorette), commercial director Steve Kessler, Matthew Senreich (Robot Chicken), and interactive technology expert Craig Ullman. Digital Broadcasting Group (DBG) will also executive produce and distribute across their video network, a comScore rated top 10 video network comprised of 163 million monthly unique visitors.
About Tristan
A middle child, Tristan Couvares, 25, is (like most Los Angelenos) a transplant from small-town America. After a 4-year stint as a Pi Kappa Alpha at UCONN, Tristan left said small town (Manchester, Connecticut) for ?greener? pastures and found himself drowning in a sea of superficial relationships and failing financial industry jobs… which was actually quite a feat considering the fact that Tristan is a considerably tall gentleman.
Unwilling and unable to accept this fate, the fun-loving Tristan threw caution to the wind, pulled himself up by the bootstraps, and made a fixture of himself amongst L.A.'s burgeoning indie music scene. Tristan's love of music (former band =Parkside Secret'), video games, and poker have endeared him to many a bro, while his impressive height and gym-fit physique have made him popular with the ladies. But despite all this, Tristan has yet to land a serious relationship not for lack of trying. Now in the midst of a full blown quarter-life crisis, Tristan has decided to do what any young man would do in his position: volunteer to broadcast his entire life live on the Internet, and turn his decision-making over to the general public. Wait, what?!
