Novelist and filmmaker Gregory Lamberson has released the final poster for SLIME CITY MASSACRE, the sequel to his 1988 cult film SLIME CITY. The poster was designed by Stephen Romano, author of the grindhouse book /Shock Festival. /Romano also contributed 15 original paintings for SCM's title sequence.
Lamberson says, "Because SLIME CITY MASSACRE is a celebration of 1970s science fiction films, 1980s horror films, and 1990s action films, Stephen was the perfect choice to do this poster and the other artwork. After /Shock Festival, /he's become the preeminent grindhouse artist."
The poster art features SLIME CITY MASSACRE stars Debbie Rochon, Jennifer Bihl, Lee Perkins and Kealan Patrick Burke, and dramatizes the film's post apocalyptic landscape. The film will have its World Premiere at the Beloit International Film Festival in Wisconsin, which runs February 18th – 21st .
POP Cinema releases SHOCK FESTIVAL – THE DVD, a special 3-disc set based on Romano's book with all new media, in January. Lamberson's werewolf novel /The Frenzy Way /will be published in June 2010, followed by /Desperate Souls/, the second volume in the author's Jake Helman Files series, in October 2010.
"We hope to play SLIME CITY MASSACRE at film festivals and horror conventions throughout 2010," says Marc Makowski, the film's producer. "We want as many people to see it with an audience, preferably on a big screen, as possible."
