The 4th Reich Zombie Movie In Production
The 4th Reich will be shooting during spring next year. This one is going to be the mother of all zombie films, not just that, a heavy historical aspect too, you could say they are working on a war film with zombies. And to add to the joyride - it's in 3D!!! - In fact it will be one of the first 3D films to emerge from the UK ever. Already they have an exciting cast including Tom Savini, Sean Pertwee, Axelle Carolyn, Simon Bamford and Craig Conway, and they have yet to cast the two leads!
The team is shaping up too, Shaun Robert Smith - Director (The Soldier), Peter Hannan - DoP (Children of Men, The Meaning of Life), Mark Tanner - Prod Design (Saving Private Ryan, Mutant Chronicles) and our FX team are second to none Alex Gunn (Rambo 4, Valkryie) Kristyan Mallett (Harry Potter, Clash of th Titans) and John Schoonraad (Rambo 4, The Wolfman) and Jeremy Zimmerman is heading up the casting.

This film has followed the success of Shaun's short film 'The Soldier' which can be viewed here
The Soldier was produced for 500 GBP in 48 hours and has already gained a DVD distribution deal and a national theatrical release across the UK. The Soldier has also scooped 4 awards and 2 nominations. The idea is, lets see what Shaun can do with a real budget!!!
One of the most exciting aspects of this project is that the team intend to 'nail' the historical facts, and the entire film is set in wartorn Europe.
The 4th Reich Synopsis:
June 1944, after the glorious victory on D-day, the armies of the combined allied forces begin their long push to Berlin with the aim of bringing down Hitler and the despised Nazi regime of the Third Reich.
But buried deep in secret files German Reichstag, is the chilling reality of Hitlers plan to create an eternal living hell, The 4th Reich.
Dr. Joseph Mengele, Hitlers chief scientist, was charged with creating a new super army of invincible soldiers. A force that would never be beaten. His experiments and research at the death camps of Auschwitz, Belsen and Birkenau would create unspeakable evil.
A small brigade of soldiers from 3rd Infantry Division, under the command of the battle hardened Captain Bathurst embark on an ever darkening quest to liberate Europe. Fighting their way through the French countryside, villages and war ravaged towns. Each step discovering progressively strange battles and events until they reach an abandoned research facility where the true horror begins.
