In partnership with The American Red Cross, Vampire-Con is hosting a blood drive on Sunday, August 16th from 10 am 4 pm outside The Music Box @ Fonda theatre. A limited edition t-shirt Blood is the Drug will be given to the first 40 attendees who donate a pint of blood. We promise all the blood will go to who its supposed too. ;) AIDS Project Los Angeles will provide a mobile HIV testing unit onsite for the event as well as distribute literature and condoms from their vendor table inside the convention. Santa Monica based non-profit organization The Virginia Avenue Project (VAP) will conduct a silent auction of exclusive vampire memorabilia including an autographed TRUE BLOOD script signed by creator Alan Ball to benefit their arts mentorship after-school programs.
